Inspection Tour: MCRD Union Minister makes inspections in Shan State

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe on Saturday made inspections in Taunggyi and Hsi Hseng townships of southern Shan State.

At the rural development department, the Union Minister met with concerned officials and staff and urged to serve duties in unity and to follow governmental employees ethics. He also heard reports, fulfill requirements and provided cash assistance.

In NaungKar Village, the Union Minister inspected a dairy farm, heard report and called for establiment of cooperative enterprises and pledged to provide cash assistance. In Hsi Hseng Township, the Union Minister inspected construction of the MikeTee-NaungBo Road and called for quality construction and timely completion and maintenance.

He also held talks with locals and fulfilled requirements. In HoNar Village of Hopong Township, the Union Minister held a meeting with concerned officials and locals and highlighted the government’s efforts for inputs for growers under the cooperative system. He also urged farmers to implement livestock farms successfully with loans from the Emerald Green Project.

In HoHway Village, the Union Minister heard reports on establishment of cooperative enterprise, coffee plantation and profits. In his response, the Union Minister pledged to provide loans for coffee growers. Also, Shan State Chief Minister explained efforts for coffee industry development in Shan State, and the Union Minister fulfilled requirements presented by officials and coffee growers.
