







Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation U Min Naung, along with Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win and regional ministers, conducted an inspection at the Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department’s duck farm in Bago Township.
During the visit, they reviewed reports on poultry duck farming and the distribution of duckling species. Following the reports, the Union Minister stressed the importance of promoting manageable-scale family farming to advance the region's livestock sector.
The Union Minister and party then proceeded to the Mechanized Farming Training School (PhaYarGyi) of Agricultural Mechanization Department. They heard reports on the training’s subjects, departmental and farmer training programs, and post-training application records and fulfilled the functional needs based on these reports.
The PhaYarGyi Mechanized Farming Training School trained more than 44,000 individuals through 13 departmental programs and 36,000 through farmer training from 2011-2012 to 2023-2024, with 85% of farmer trainees entering the workforce.
The Union Minister and party visited flood-affected farmers in KaTwinGyan Village in Bago Township. They offered words of encouragement, discussed strategies for boosting crop yields and Ministry’s support for the expansion of sunflower cultivation and provided seeds and fertilizers to the farmers.
