Inspection Tour: Landslide prevention and dredging for better water way

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr Aung Gyi visited TMT Port of Bo Aung Kyaw Terminal in Yangon Region on 2nd March, and observed the work processes for examining marine products to be exported to foreign countries.

The Deputy Minister later proceeded to Myanmar Fisheries Federation in West Gyokone and met with the Chairman and officials of the federation, as well as the officials from Myanmar Fishery ProductsProcessors&Exporters Association and its affiliated associations.

He instructed the need to make cooperative efforts between the department and private entrepreneurs for reproduction of fish resources, local food sufficiency and promoting exports. They then proceeded to Shwepyitha Industrial Zone and observed the operation processes at Cold Storage Factories.

He instructed to prioritize for quality and safety of foods, meeting international standards. The Deputy Minister also inspected Malar Myaing Sale Center in MyayPadethaKyun of Bahan Township and gave instructions.
