Inspection Tour : Efforts to promote agriculture and livestock production

Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win on July 11, visited agricultural and livestock projects in the region to support increased production.

The Chief Minister visited a duck farm in Letpadan Township where 7,000 ducks are successfully raised with government funds. He encouraged farmers to use integrated duck-rice farming methods to control golden apple snails, increase rice yields, and gain additional income from duck eggs. In Paungde Township, he observed a cattle farm raising 50 Brahman and other breeds, and urged natural fertilizer production, Napier grass planting, and biosecurity practices.

They also visited a demonstration paddy field using direct seeding technology and met with farmers to discuss reducing input costs, using balanced fertilization, and promoting livestock farming at the household level for income generation. Additionally, they inspected the Sein Kabar Oo farm tools factory in Pyay Township, where machines for sesame and sugarcane planting are being produced with support from the regional government.
