Inspection Tour: Dy PM makes inspections in Ayeyawaddy Region

Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications. General Mya Tun Oo made inspections in Ayeyawaddy Region on the 13th of July.

First, the Union Minister inspected Pan Hlaing River bank erosion prevention works in Nyaungdon Township, heard report on this 3-year bank erosion prevention project and gave necessary instructions. In Danubyu and Zalun townships, the Union Minister inspected the Ayeyawaddy River water level rising situation and prevention works as well as construction of retaining walls.

In Hinthada Township, the Union Minister inspected damage due to the Ayeyawaddy River bank erosion and held a discussion with departmental officials and locals for prevention measures. He also inspected railways and stations between the Hinthada Station and KhaMaukSu Station.

In Laymyethna Township, the Union Minister inspected the Ngawun River bank erosion prevention works, heard report on the completed and ongoing works and gave necessary instructions. Also, the Union Minister took the RBE train to the Pathein Station and gave necessary instructions.

On the 14th of July in Pathein Township, the Union Minister inspected the Strand Road and stressed the importance of beautification, recreational areas, cleanliness and renovation of jetties.

In the meeting with officials and staff under the Ministry, the Union Minister urged them to adhere to ethics and to conduct training programmes before providing foodstuffs. He also inspected conditions of railway stations and bridges along the BelGaYet-Eainme-Hlaingtharya project and gave necessary instructions.
