Inspection tour: Development for Thandwe district and Gwa township

Member of the State Administration Council Dr. Ba Shwe together with Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, the State Ministers and officials inspected development of Thandwe district and met with locals for Gwa township development.

On arrival at the Thadwe Basic Education High School (Myoma), the SAC member and party cordially greeted faculty members and viewed around Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination to the female students by the Health Department in the school and presented teaching aid and food.

During observing, the SAC member and party viewed arrangements of books for the students and reading books. The HPV is inoculated to the students after health workers have conducted body temperature and blood pressure measurements and necessary health cares to them.

After that, the SAC member and party visited Kyeintali People’s Hospital and comforted hospitalized patients and presented food and cash assistance. Later, they looked into implementation of model village by the Department of Agriculture in Yahai Kwin village in Gwa township and thriving paddy seed production and high yield paddy fields.

Later, they met farmers and called for measures for better high yields than before and systematic cultivation. In response to the reports of farmers, the SAC member coordinated the needs.

The SAC member and party then Gwa Chaung bridge and inspected durability of the bridge. They then met township level departmental officials, town elders, ward and village administrators, representatives of social organizations and locals at the office of Gwa Township Administrative Department.

At the meeting, SAC member Dr. Ba Shwe said that the political goal of the State Administration Council is to strengthen a genuine and disciplined multi-party democratic system and to build a Union based on democracy and federalism.

The foundation for the development of a country is the great quantity of educated persons. In building a Union based on democracy and federal system, the local people need to develop knowledge and also need to understand the knowledge about the law.

For the country's food sufficiency, efforts are being made to develop livestock industries and produce value-added products. It will be necessary to fully utilize all cultivated land and efforts will be made to cultivate mixed cropping.

He added that MSME businesses based on livestock should be encouraged and local raw materials should be used to provide basic foodstuff, consumer goods and personal goods for domestic needs. He called for cooperation of departments and locals in regional peace and stability, law enforcement, agriculture and livestock breeding for the development of Rakhine State.

After that, town elders and the locals reported on the needs for smooth transportation and regional development on which Rakhine State Chief Minister made clarification.
