Inspection Tour: Census enumeration and infrastructure development

On 8th October, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung accompanied by concerned officials oversaw the 2024 population and housing census enumeration in KarLi of KoonHein Township, Shan State (South). On the 9th, the Chief Minister and officials visited HanthaMuni Pagoda in MongHsu Township, paid homage to the pagoda and donated flowers, water, oil lamps and gold foils.

They then overviewed the 2024 population and housing census data collection for the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha. They also paid homage to the Chairman Sayadaw of Township Sangha Nayaka Committee and donated offertories.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister and party met with the departmental officials, townselders and social organization at Ruby Hall in Mong Hsu Township. During the meeting, reports on matters pertaining to region’s administrative, economic and social sectors were presented. Upon reports, the Chief Minister coordinated requirements.

In his remark, the Chief Minister stressed on cleanliness and beautifying of the Mong Hsu Township which is rich in valuable gems and beautiful sceneries. Regarding the region’s economic sector, the Chief Minister instructed to emphasize on acceleration of agriculture and livestock breeding businesses.

The Chief Minister also called for the concerted efforts of the relevant individuals in safeguarding peace and stability of the region, promotion of education and health sector. Then, the foodstuff were provided for the District/Township level departmental staff.

There, the Chief Minister and party oversaw the local MSME products of MongHsu, KyayThe and MongNaung townships. Next, the Chief Minister and party inspected the designated site for gem excavation on LoiSaungHtauk Hill in Mong Hsu Gems Land.

Additionally, the Chief Minister and party inspected the preparations to implement 12ft long and 34ft wide concerete road project and 4 other projects initiated by Highways Department Union/State Fund for 2024-2025 fiscal year.
