Inspection Tour: Ancient lake renovation and greening tasks

Mandalay Regional Chief Minister U Myo Aung and officials observed the re-excavation and maintenance of ancient lakes in Bagan ancient archaeological zone on 13th July.

During the tour, the Chief Minister and party inspected the maintenance operations at Ywa Haung Gyi Lake and Kyauk Aoe Lake .

The Chief Minister and party later observed the status of establishment and cultivation of green plantations along Meikhitla-Kyaukpataung-NyaungU Road and Kyaukapataung-Chauk Road.

The Chief Minister gave instruction to work together with the participation of the local people for thriving of the plantations. The Department of Forest has planted over 17,000 trees of 13 different species along Meikhtila-Kyaukpataung-NyaungU road and Kyaukapataung-Chauk road in Mandalay Region.
