Inspection Tour: Agriculture, livestock and irrigation works inspected

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung visited Meikhitla Township in Mandalay Region on 7th March to oversee the summer crop plantations.

In Uyin Village, the Union Minister inspected he thriving summer sesame plantation, met with the local farmers and instructed for boosting production along with the use of quality species. They then proceeded to Samon Dam in Thazi Township and oversaw the progress of repair works damaged by the floods. He then arrived at Meikhtila Industrial Zone and inspected the operation process of Animal Feed Production Factory.

In Wuntwin, the Union Minister and party inspected the reconstruction of Samon Conduit, digging the diversion canal from Samon Creek and plans for irrigating to some 20,000 farmlands in the catchment areas. They then inspected the fish breeding farm and winter crop plantations.
