







Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation, Dr. Tin Htut, inspected the teaching activities of the Institute of Agriculture and Livestock (Pwintbyu) in Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region, on September 15 and met with students to offer words of encouragement.
First, the Principal of the Institute, U Koe Htin presented the school’s ongoing teaching activities, research and agricultural production status, the current number of enrolled students, and the outcomes of producing mid-level agricultural specialists.
In response to the presentations, the Deputy Minister coordinated and addressed necessary requirements, then met with teachers and students to discuss and provide guidance on their needs.
Additionally, the Deputy Minister inquired about the students’ teaching and daily learning conditions, and discussed their perspectives on future regional development. He also provided financial support to the students.
After that, the Deputy Minister met with agricultural specialists and local farmers at the Pwintbyu Pure Seed Farm to discuss and address their requirements.
It is reported that a senior farmer from Kyunpinsin Village, who achieved a yield of 1,600 baskets from 10 acres of Aung Naing Toe paddy strain, shared his experience in cultivating Aung Naing Toe paddy strain and successfully marketing it according to market preferences. Another farmer discussed his experience and profits from using solar-powered irrigation systems. The Deputy Minister supplemented the discussions.
