Inspection of Steel Mill: MoI UM inspected No. 2 Steel Mill (Pang Pet)

Union Minister for Industry, Dr. Charlie Than paid a visit to the No. 2 Steel Mill (Pang Pet) in Taunggyi Township of Shan State (South) on Tuesday where they conducted inspection on maintenance of equipment installed in workshops, substation and factories, equipment installation and the remaining tasks.

Upon the inspection, the Union Minister gave instructions to supervise the equipment installations, ensuring compliance with the set quality and to conduct checking by an independent third party once completed. He urged all staff to pay special emphasis on the work undertakings that it is a special project needed for the country.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister met with the staff at the factory canteen and clarified details of Public Military Service Law. Upon the meeting, he then exhorted all to share the knowledge gained to others.Then, the Director General of Union Minister office reported the issues on Public Military Service Law. The Union Minister cordially greeted to the attendees and coordinated the staff’s submissions.
