Inspection of Staffs’ Living Condition: MOSYA UM inspected staff housing buildings

Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, accompanied by Deputy Minister U Zin Min Htet and responsible officials, on July 10, visited the government staff housing buildings in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory that were damaged by the major Mandalay earthquake that struck on March 28 and its aftershocks.

These buildings had been inspected and certified by experts from relevant departments and were designated with a blue safety level. The Union Minister inspected the current resettlement conditions of ministry staff and their families living in those buildings.

First, the Union Minister and officials visited Building Nos. 5350 and 5351 located in the Bu Kwe Staff Housing, Wunna Theiddi Ward, Zabuthiri Township, which were marked as blue-level safety buildings.

There, they observed the living conditions of staff from the Ministry and their families who had been resettled, as well as the progress of repair works being carried out by Myanmar Peach Co., Ltd., the company responsible for the damaged structures. The Union Minister gave necessary instructions to the relevant officials to carry out the necessary remaining repairs and addressed the challenges and concerns raised by the staff by providing appropriate support.
