Inspection of sports training: MNREC UM inspected sports trainings of athletes

The Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, U Khin Maung Yi, accompanied by relevant officials, visited the Indoor Stadium in Lewe Township on Tuesday, observed the training sessions of the ministry's men’s Sepak Takraw team, preparing for participation in the 2024 Fifth National Sports Festival, as well as the men’s volleyball team and the men’s and women’s athletics teams practicing at the Wunna Theiddhi Sports Stadium.

After that, the Union Minister cordially met with the athletes, encouraged them to train diligently with strong team spirit and sportsmanship to bring honor to the nation and provided cash and material support to the athletes.The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation will participate in five sports categories at the Fifth National Sports Festival, including men’s football, men’s volleyball, men’s Sepak Takraw, men’s and women’s athletics, and men’s golf. A total of 90 individuals, including coaches, managers, and athletes, will represent the ministry in the competitions.
