Inspection of Sports Facilities: MOC Chairman inspected sports facilities in Kachin

Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee, Union Minister for the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, accompanied by the officials of the Kachin State Sports and Physical Education Committee, inspected the sand filling and grass planting activities as well as the cleanliness and beautification works at the state sports field located in the Kachin State Sports and Physical Education Department in the evening on November 26.

The Union Minister guided that public sports activities, which support mass sports as directed by the Government, should be continuously and actively conducted, including sports competitions commemorating the 78th Independence Day, to nurture excellent athletes emerging from mass sports.

He also inspected the peaceful and beautiful swimming pool and district sports fields maintained in a clean and pleasant condition. Additionally, he observed and encouraged the selection, training, and coaching of trainees for the football academy course currently being conducted by the Kachin State Sports and Physical Education Department under the program of the Kachin State Sports and Physical Education Committee. The responsible officials were instructed on the necessary measures to further improve the training and performance of the athletes.
