





Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe together with the Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye, State Minister for Social Affairs U Aye Hlaing and officials oversaw the teaching classes of sustainable education service opened at the Basic Education High School in Kyauktalone subtownship of Taunggyi Township in the morning on January 6.
Speaking at the teaching classes, the Union Minister said that such teaching classes are a sector of literacy work for the rural and ethnic people supporting and implementing by the government.
It's appreciated with seeing those who completed learning basic literacy classes, primary education completed persons and part of primary education completed persons are studying in the classes. the teaching classes of sustainable education service are opened in Taunggyi, Kalaw and Hopone Townships of Shan State (South) and Union Minister encouraged the learning persons and expressed words of thanks to the instructors.
Next, the Union Minister and Chief Minister provided foodstuff and teaching aids and the representatives of the classes accepted. Then, the Union Minister inspected Ganainghtaw Basic Education Middle School and Lon Kar Basic Education High School in Taunggyi Township and fulfilled requirements.
In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited Taunggyi Education Degree College, cordially met with the principals and teachers of Loikaw Education Degree College and Taunggyi Education Degree College at Kanbawza Hall and gave words of encouragement.
Then, the Union Minister provided foodstuff and school materials for the Loikaw Education Degree College and Taunggyi Education Degree College and the respective students and teachers accepted. The Shan State Chief Minister handed cash assistance and clothes provided by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and the respective students accepted.
Afterward, the Union Minister and party visited No (10) Basic Education Primary School, No (12) Basic Education Middle School and No (5) Basic Education Middle School, inspected construction works in the schools and fulfilled requirements.
