





Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe accompanied by the Director General U Thein Toe of the Department of Small-Scale Industries and officials concerned inspected foodstuff processing factory of Sky Fruit Food Industry Co.,Ltd in Zawana Ward of Ottarathiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area in the afternoon on Wednesday in order to promote the socio-economic life of the rural farmers, locally produced fruits to be produced as advanced Value-added products and fulfill the work requirements.
During the inspection, the factory in-charge clarified production processes of advanced Value-added products from local products of mango, jujube, pineapple, strawberry, lemon, tomato, orange and coffee seed. In responding to the clarification, the Union Minister said that the Ministry is addressed for the promotion of socio-economic life of rural population, boosting family income and creation of job opportunities in line with the guidance of the Union government.
From exporting local products by processing as value-added products, the foreign earnings will be received and the family income of the rural population will increase. The departments under the Ministry will provide necessary assistance and if the capital is needed, MSME fund can be applied etc.
Next, the Union Minister viewed the processing of fruit jams, dried jujube, pineapple, strawberry, mango and great fruit jam, lemon jam, tamarind and passion fruit juice, mango and Marian plum pickle and instant coffee and coordinated and fulfilled requirements. The Union Minister also inspected laying of asphalt extra layer on the entrance road of Thapyaysan Village in Pubbathiri Township and fulfilled requirements.
