Inspection of renovation works: Rakhine State CM inspected renovation works

The Chairman of Rakhine State Natural Disaster Management Committee Chief Minister U Htein Lin together with State Ministers and departmental officials inspected the preparations for hoisting ambarella atop Let We Tha Lone relic Pagoda and the renovating process of communal hall and attended opening ceremony of basic computer training course for the ethnic youth held at Khine Thazin Hall in Sittwe Township in the morning on 19th October.  

First, the Chief Minister paid homage to the Buddha image, offered flower, water and candle lights and inspected pagoda umbrella fell down  during the Cyclone Mocha and damages of communal hall.

Next, a meeting with Senior Tatmadaw officials from Sittwe station, members of pagoda board of trustee and departmental officials was held and discussed the matters on hoisting umbrella and renovation of the communal hall.

Then, the regional operation command (Sittwe) donated 5 million Kyats of cash donation for the all-round renovation works of the pagoda and the chief Minister accepted the donation and looked round the preparations for umbrella hoisting ceremony.

Afterward, the Chief Minister and party inspected the water storage in the great lake, water distribution and water refilling and gave necessary instruction to the responsible officials. Then, the Chief Minister and party attended the opening ceremony of basic computer training course for the ethnic youth co-organized by Rekhine State Government, Ministry of ethnic affairs and the University of Computer Studies (Sittwe). The Chief Minister gave an opening speech at the opening ceremony.

The Rakhine State Minister for ethnic affairs U Tin Hla clarified the implementation for opeing basic computer training course and the pro-rector Dr. Zaw Tun explained the programs to be lectured at the training. Then, Chief Minister handed 14.5 million Kyats of cash assistance provided by the Rakhine State Government for the computer training and the State Minister for ethnic affairs accepted. The Chief Minister viewed the basic computer training and cordially greeted the ethnic youth.

In the afternoon, the Chief Minister and party met with the cultural troupe to represent Rakhine State to perform at the commemorating ceremony of 8th Anniversary of NCA to be held in Nay Pyi Taw, gave necessary instructions and provided cash assistance.
