Inspection of renovation works: Kayah State CM inspected renovation works in Loikaw

Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin, along with the state government officials, inspected the ongoing renovation work of departmental office buildings, staff housing, sports fields, and sports halls on January 27.

The Chief Minister and the responsible officials observed the completion of the staff housing renovation in Daw-U-Khu Ward in Loikaw, as well as the construction of two 2-story staff housing units with four rooms in final touching. They also inspected the completed renovations of buildings for Myanmar Insurance, the Pension Department, and the Department of Agriculture, along with brick walls. Furthermore, they reviewed the renovation work of sports facilities of badminton, karate, taekwondo, futsal, and the gymnastics, as well as the 400-meter synthetic running track and state swimming pool, and directed that the work be completed on time in accordance with established standards.

In the afternoon, the Chief Minister and officials visited the Department of Cultural Heritage and National Museum (Loikaw Branch), where they observed the ongoing restoration efforts of the museum building and the cultural heritage items that had been destroyed or taken by terrorist insurgents. The museum staff explained the restoration work being done.

The Chief Minister instructed that the renovation work on the buildings be continuously monitored by the responsible officials. He also directed that any remaining cultural heritage items, both tangible and intangible, as well as books and documents, be restored and made accessible for public learning. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of preserving the original artifacts and coordinating with relevant indigenous cultural committees to replenish and restore the items accordingly.
