Inspection of Renovation Works: Construction UM met with officials of Engineering Societies

Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant together with the officials concerned inspected the renovation works of six standalone monastic cells for one monk at Hanthathiri hill in Mayangone Township, Yangon Region led by the Special Building Unit (2) of the Building Department.

Firstly, at the project briefing hall, the construction in-charge of the Special Unit (2) clarified the damages of the monastic buildings, the renovation designs and its completion status and facilitating green environs to the Union Minister and party followed by the supplementations of the Building Department’s Director.

Upon this, the Union Minister instructed them to be good workmanship with the timely completion putting exerted efforts, then made inspections. Afterwards, the Union Minister and party met with chairmen, central executive committee members and officials from the Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies and Engineering Associations where the discussions were made.

Firstly, the Union Minster said that the meeting is to call the collaborative efforts of the Engineering Federation and Associations for the effective completion of the current work undertakings and further works that are being carried out by its relevant associations and urged them to participate in the discussion for the development of Engineering Society.

Then, the attendees introduced their works individually at the respective engineering sectors. Continuously, the Chairman of the Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies made explanation on the objective of the federation, formation, sharing tasks and the international cooperation for the development of Engineering Societies.

Later, the responsible officials from Myanmar International Consulting Engineers Group, Environmental Conservation Consulting Engineers Association (Yangon), Myanmar Welding Engineers Association, Myanmar Green Building Society made clarifications on their respective sectors and upon which, the Union Minister put queries on what he wanted to know and coordinated the needs on the sector wise discussion.
