Inspection of renovation process: MoRAC Union Minister visited Shwedagon pagoda

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture, U Ko Ko and officials visited the Shwedagon Pagoda in Bahan Township and offered water and flowers to the Ruby-Eye Buddha Image at the upper terrace of the pagoda and inspected the renovation process of the Southern Stairways and looked around the Shwedagon Buddha Museum.

Then, the Union Minister met with the members of the Shwedagon Pagoda Board of Trustees and gave necessary instructions on emphasizing for the convenience of the pilgrims from home and abroad, conducting advance cultural training, security measures and coordinated the requirements in operating museum, library and souvenir shops.

Then, the Union Minister and party visited Pitaka-Chamber and gave necessary instructions on maintaining the ancient palm-leaf inscriptions and paper folding books (parabaik) systematically.
