






Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win made a ground inspection tour in Bago Township for the mitigation of flood, rapid receding of flood and prevention of flood disaster in timely manner and coordinated requirements.
First, Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win met with the Region Government Ministers, military Commander of Bago station and responsible officials from Region, District and Township and gave necessary instruction to prepare necessary relief items at the temporary flood relief camps to provide the temporary displaced persons from flood disaster.
Next, the Chief Minister inspected flooding of Saing-Ti Creek of Saing Ti Village in Bago Township and instructed to prepare for providing rice seeds for the inundated farmlands to cultivate in time.
Then, the Chief Minister and party arrived at Pyinnyar Mon monastery where the flood relief camp is opened, greeted and gave words of encouragement to the flood victims and provided rice, cooking oil, eggs, dry noodle and other kitchen items and cash for rice provided by the Natural Disaster Management Department.
After that, Chief Minister and party inspected over flooding on the Kyauk-Kyi-Su embankment and Nyaung-Waing embankment and gave necessary instruction to the Tatmadawmen, members of Myanmar Police Force and Fire Brigade.
A total of 27 temporary flood relief camps have been opening at 13 wards and 4 villages in Bago Township and the Region Government is providing for the convenience of accommodation and food for 25043 flood victims constituted 6245 households from 6187 houses.
The Chief Minister also inspected the direct medicinal sale by the medical companies on the upper floor of Thiri-Ottha market building of Bago Township.
