Inspection of rehabilitation works: MCRD UM inspected rehabilitation works in Pyinmana

Under the guidance of the Vocational Rehabilitation Committee, the renovation and restoration of 44 flood affected houses in 4 villages within 3 townships of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area are being carried out with 300 million kyat cash assistance donated by the Chairman of the CB Bank.

The Chairman of the Committee, Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe accompanied by the concerned officials visited Kyun-U and Kwet Thit Villages of Pyinmana Township on 29th October.

First, the Union Minister visited the Kyun-U Smart Village and inspected the status of repairing bean roasters, new establishment, purchasing raw materials and resuming of business operation and other commodity production industries and gave necessary instructions.

To ensure the timely resumption of these operations, value-added cooperative associations were established, and the Cooperative Department provided support with a loan of 145 million Kyats at a favorable interest rate on October 5.

As a result, 46 local bean roasting and frying facilities, which local workers depend on, are now fully operational again.Then, the Union Minister inspected the reconstruction of flood affected houses and renovation of partially destroyed houses in Kyun-U and Kwet Thit Villages and gave necessary instructions to the responsible officials.
