





The Kayah State Government is actively implementing regional development and reconstruction works at full swing. State Chief Minister U ZawMyo Tin, along with the State Government members and relevant officials, visited the site where the Asphalt Concrete (AC) paving works on Butar Road in Loikaw City and the water reduction efforts in the Daw Noe Koo and NamtKut wards, where there were remaining floodwaters.
Initially, the Chief Minister and the officials visited the construction site for the Asphalt Concrete (AC) paving on Butar Road which is 3730 feet long and 30 feet wide) funded by the state government’s allocation.
The Acting Executive Officer of the State Development Committee, U Saw Nay Kha Lee and other relevant officials provided explanations about the ongoing work.Following this, they inspected the ongoing road construction works and instructed the relevant authorities to ensure that the work meets the required standards, such as quality assurance, timely completion, safety on the work site, and smooth travel for the public during the project.
Additionally, the Chief Minister observed the ongoing efforts by the State Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department and the State Fire Department to reduce the remaining floodwater in the low-lying areas of Daw Noe Koo and NamtKut wards, which had been affected by the Balue Creek water influx.
After that, the Chief Minister instructed that the remaining floodwaters be cleared as soon as possible. Once completed, the displaced people at temporary flood relief shelters should be able to return to their homes quickly. He also emphasized the need to provide health care and preventive measures at these locations, as well as ensure clean drinking water availability for the residents.
