






Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and officials in the morning on 16th July met and comforted the faculty members of Myitkyina University who were affected by the flood.
At the meeting, the Chief Minister gave words of comfort and provided basic foodstuff including rice bags, boxes of dried noodle and eggs, Rector of the University Dr. Aung Win expressed words of thanks and the chief Minister coordinated requrements.
Then, the Chief minister and officials oversaw the removing silt deposited in the wells and lakes in the university compound after receding of flood, applying chlorine in the water and provided cash assistance.
A total of 246 groups comprised of over 700 people is carrying out the removing silts from the wells and lakes and applying chlorine substance.
Next, the Chief Minister and party inspected Phyo Wei Wei Paper and Book producing Cooperatives Limited affected by flood, inquired requirements and coordinated to provide necessaries.
The Chief Minister and party also inspected J2A Garment factory in Myitkyina.
In the afternoon on 15th July, the Chief minister and party attended the cash donation ceremony for the rehabilitation of flood victims and extended the words of thanks to the donors.
