





In the morning on December 30th, Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, along with Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko, members of the Tanintharyi Region government, and responsible officials, visited the Tanintharyi Region Ethnic Affairs Directorate office. They reviewed the ongoing office operations, progress of project implementation, and the preparedness and activities related to ethnic affairs in Tanintharyi Region. After listening to the presentations from the responsible officials, the Union Minister and the region Chief minister addressed the needs and fulfilled requirements.
Additionally, the Union Minister and the region Chief minister visited the site in San Chi Ward, Dawei Township, where an Ethnic Affairs Center is planned to be constructed. They inspected the land for the center and, after hearing presentations from the responsible officials, coordinated and facilitated the necessary actions.
In the afternoon, the Union Minister and the Region Minister for Ethnic Affairs met with the staff serving at the Tanintharyi Region Directorate office. During the meeting, Union Minister addressed the staff.
Following this, Tanintharyi Region Ethnic Affairs Minister offered words of encouragement, and listened to their discussions about the department’s operational needs. The responsible officials provided clarifications and further discussions, and the Union Minister took the necessary actions to address the needs.
After that, the Union Minister and the Region Minister for Ethnic Affairs provided staff with rice, cooking oil, and other food supplies as part of their efforts to ease staff welfare.
