






Deputy Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Myint Soe accompanied by the concerned officials inspected the 7 shallow water wells in KaTin Village in Yamethin Township of Mandalay Region on 4th of July.
The Department of Rural Development organized the 7 shallow water wells for the agricultural irrigation to a total of 210 acres of cotton plantations of LinLin Agricultural Cooperative Association.It’s reported that, a total of 23 Cotton Agricultural cooperatives associations in Yamethin Township will grow 490 acres of B-331 Cotton variety and ShweTaung-10 cotton variety in pre-monsoon preriod, 450 acres in monsoon period and 3,538 acres in late-monsoon period and the Ministry will provide the required fertilizers, natural fertilizer and pesticides for the plantations.
And the Chief Minister also instructed to the officials concerned to give training on repairing one stroke engine and arrange for the village drinking water.Then, the Deputy Minister inspected the construction of 5-furlong long KaTin Village gravel rural production road which is being undertaken with the 2024-2025 Fiscal Year Fund of the Department of Rural Development.
On arrival at TheinKone Village, the Deputy Minister met with the members of Shwe Sin Agricultural Cooperative Association who are growing 211 acres of ShweTaung-10 Cotton plantations and encouraged them to produce the qualified cotton products and coordinated requirements upon the reports presented by the members.
Then, the Deputy Minister visited cattle market in Yamethin Township and oversaw the local cattle farming and cattle trading. Then, the Deputy Minister inspected the construction of 4-furlong long IngyinKan-OakPho-KyanPin-HtanTaw inter-village conceret road and coordinated necessities. Once the construction of road is completed, it will be beneficialfor a total of 2,650 acres of plantation, 3,000 population of 779 households from 5 villages.
Then, the Deputy Minister visited the Head Office of Cooperative Association in Tatkone Township, met with the concerned officials and called for the concerted efforts to accelerate the summer and monsoon paddy, oil crops and cotton plantations.
