






Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development, U Hla Moe, conducted an inspection tour, on Wednesday, in Shan State (South) to assess the progress of regional development projects and the cultivation of oil crops, aiming to enhance their success.
Initially, the Union Minister and officials visited Kyone Village in Pindaya Township, Shan State (South). They inspected the operations of the oil mill run by U Sein Than, a member of the Yaung Chi Oo Agriculture and General Economy Cooperative Society.
Responsible officials provided detailed explanations regarding the procurement of raw materials, the oil extraction process, and the current status of sales. In response to the clarificationss, the Union Minister emphasized the need to expand oil crop cultivation and enhance the capacity of oil mills to process more crops and discussed regional development matters and addressed the concerns raised by cooperative members.
Next, the Union Minister and party visited Pwe Hla Village in Pindaya Township. They met with sunflower farmers at the village’s temporary briefing hall. The Union Minister discussed regional development issues and addressed the farmers’ concerns.
He then inspected the winter sunflower cultivation fields. The Union Minister and party, then, proceeded to Pant Pone Village in Taunggyi Township, which is being developed as a model modern village.
They met with village committee members and local residents at the village’s temporary pavalion. The Chairman of the Green Village Project Committee, the Director of the State Small-Scale Industries Department, and the Director of the State Rural Development Department presented updates on the project’s progress.
The Union Minister discussed regional development matters and addressed the concerns of local residents. He also inspected the concrete road construction within the village and the sunflower fields cultivated by the cooperative farmers.
After that, the Union Minister and officials visited the Royal Tgi Garment and logo printing service in Aye Thar Yar Town, Taunggyi Township. They inspected the factory’s operations, and the responsible officials provided a detailed report on the current status of the business operation.
The Union Minister discussed the need to upgrade the factory’s operations and assured that efforts would be made to secure the necessary investments. He also addressed the concerns raised by the factory owners and coordinated solutions accordingly.
