Inspection for Provision: Reserved rice purchasing for disaster-affected people

Chairman of the State Reserved Rice Purchasing Supervisory Committee Deputy Minister for Commerce U Nyunt Aung made a field visit to inspect the second batch of reserved rice purchasing process which is being carried out in collaboration between the ministry and the Myanmar Rice Federation.

In the second batch, 0.5 million sacks of rice will be purchased. The first batch saw 0.2 million sacks of rice purchased and distributed to disaster-affected areas under the supervision of the Natural Disaster Management Committee in the month of May.

After the purchased rice has been examined for quality and quantity, it will be distributed to disaster-affected areas under the directive of the natural disaster management committee.
