







For the civil service personnel and their family members and public to happily participating in the Myanmar Traditional New Year Thingyan Water Festival, Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan near from Nay Pyi Taw Mayor Padal to the Sibin Guesthouse Junction on the Pyinmana-Taung Nyo Road will be held grandly with teeming crowd from 13th to 16th April.
The Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan organizing committee Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn accompanied by the senior officials inspected preparation works for organizing Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan in the morning on 10 April. First, the Union Minister met with the stakeholders which are involving in the related sectors to hold the Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan safely and grandly including the ministries and Brilliant Aura Co., Ltd at the walking thingyan supervising pandal.
At the meeting, the Union Minister stressed the needs to prepare systematically for the people to participate in the festival happily, the artistes and chorus dance troupes will perform alternatively, cooperation with the security members to protect people from the risks, inspection for the fresh foods hosted at the charity feasts and selling at the shop stalls, paying attention on the fire hazards and shortage of water and healthcare.
Then, the Union Minister inspected the construction of Thingyan pandals as per the ministries, pandal for the national races, preparation for the youth Game Thingyan, Thanakha Thingyan and Youth Zone and the preparations for prevention of fire hazard, shortage of water, healthcare and security breaking and instructed to complete within scheduled time to hold the Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan successfully.
In the morning, the Chairman of Security Subcommittee Deputy Minister for Home Affairs Ma-J Gen. Zin Min Htet also held a coordination meeting on the security measures to be carried out with members of disciplinary subcommittee for Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan and the senior officials of the members of disciplinary committees from the pandals of the ministries.
