Inspection of preparations: MoRAC Union Minister paid homage to Buddha image

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin, accompanied by concerned officials, paid homage to PadamyarMyatshin Buddha image at the upper terrace and offered flowers and water to the Buddha statue at the Maha Bodi banyan tree of southern corner of Shwedagon Pagoda on Tuesday.

And, the Union Minister inspected around the Naung Taw Gyi Pagoda where the preparations for offering of gold foils to the full circumference of the pagoda and the scaffolding tasks being conducted. Then, the members of ShwedagonPagoda Board of Trustees made a presentation regarding the tasks being carried out.

The Union Minister gave instructions to carry out the tasks complying with the set standards, maintain statistical processes and focus on timely completion and coordinated the needs.

Then, the Union Minister and party inspected the gold grinding works at the gold plate mill of Shwedagon Pagoda and gave the necessary instructions.

And, the Union Minister and party proceeded to the JivitadanaSangha Hospital at Bahan Township and met with the chairman of the management committee and its officials. The officials gave a brief report on hospital operations. After that, the Union Minister offered cash to 58 monks and 37 nuns who were receiving medical treatment.
