Inspection of Preparations: MoIP UM inspected preparations for nationwide census

The meeting regarding 2024 Population and Housing Census enumeration was held at Pale Yadana Hall of Myeik Township of Taninthayi Region at 9:30 on 20th June and attended by the Chairman of Central Census Commission Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing, Chairman of Taninthayi Region Census Supervisory Committee Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko, Commander of Coastal Region Command Brigadier General Pyae Sone Lin, Region Ministers and officials.

First, the Union Minister U Myint Kyaing explained about the 2024 Population and Housing Census enumeration extensively. Next, the Chairman of Taninthayi Region Census Supervisory Committee Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko clarified ongoing work implementations for the 2024 Population and Housing Census enumeration and action plans to be carried out.

Then, the Deputy Director General Dr. Khine Khine Soe clarified the status of effective usage of the data from the census enumeration for the development and the security of the country and the TV Spots to be broadcast on the TV channels were screened.

Next, the Union Minister handed the materials for the census enumeration and the Chairman of Taninthayi Region Census Committee U Khin Maung Cho accepted and then the Union Minister, Chief Minister and Commander viewed the display of materials to be used in nationwide census enumeration and cordially greeted the attendees.

After that, the Union Minister and party attended the occasion of providing assistances for the Public Military Service trainees held at local military base in Myeik, gave the words of encouragement, provided assistances to the individual trainee and cordially greeted them.

In the afternoon, Union Minister and Chief Minister oversaw the issuing certificate of household population list and Citizenship Scrutiny Card at community hall of Phaya-Nga-Hsu Sarthintaik, inquired the people about the difficulties on the work process and cordially greeted them.

Then, the Union minister viewed the collecting Biographic and Biometric data and issuing 10- digit Unique ID, gave necessary instruction and cordially greeted the local people. After that, the Union Minister and Region Chief Minister paid homage to the Phaya-Nga-Hsu Sarthintaik presiding Sayadaw, supplicated religious affairs and offered offertories and cash donation, it’s learnt.
