Inspection of preparations: MOI Union Minister inspected preparations for Thingyan

During the 2023 Myanmar traditional Thingyan Festival, the Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan will be held in grandeur and more thronged manner so that the employees, employees’ families, and the public in Nay Pyi Taw can celebrate happily.

Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan has been designated from near the Nay Pyi Taw Mayor Maha Thingyan Pavilion on Pyinmana-Taungnyo Road to the intersection of Sipin guesthouse Road. On April 13 which is Thingyan Akyo Day, the opening ceremony will be held with teeming crowd.

The Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan organizing committee Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn accompanied by the senior officials inspected the rehearsal for holding opening ceremony and the preparations as per the Thingyan zones in the evening on Tuesday.

First, the Union Minister viewed the rehearsals of opening Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan Arce Gate systematically by cutting ribbon and the dancing rehearsal with Thangyan Moe song of chorus dance groups represented ministries. Next, the Union Minister inspected preparations for employees, employees’ families, and the public to enjoy the water festival and to be hosted charity feasts, preparations for the Thanaka Thingyan, Ethnic Thingyan, beauty and entertainment programmes and youth game Thingyan programmes and the healthcare and prevention not to break of security.

Then, the dancing, singing and water throwing rehearsals at Central Pandal were inspected and paying attention on the fire hazards and shortage of water was instructed.
