Inspection of Power Stations: MOEP UM inspected Power stations

On the morning of April 10, Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyun Tun, along with relevant departmental officials, met with the personnel who were temporarily relocated and jointly served in Pyin Oo Lwin Township, Mandalay Region.

He spoke with them, providing financial support and supplies. Later in the day, the Union Minister and officials inspected various electricity sector operations in the Mandalay Region. In the morning, the Union Minister and party arrived at the Power Transmission and Distribution Department's AhNeeSaKhan main substation near Pyin Oo Lwin, where they met with the temporary staff relocated from Shan State (North) and assigned to duty in Pyin Oo Lwin.

After listening to the reports of the personnel and needs, the Union Minister addressed their concerns and provided financial support and necessary supplies for the staff. After that, the Union Minister and officials visited the Power Control Room in the main substation to observe the ongoing power distribution operations.

They also checked the Power transmission and the transmission by alligning the load of current power lines and the operation of transformers in the switchyard. In the afternoon, the Union Minister inspected the 500 kV Kan Kaung Substation Project in Meiktila Township.

They inspected the ongoing installation of transformers and Shunt Reactors, the completion of the Hybrid Gas Insulated Switchgear (HGIS), the construction of the 500 kV and 230 kV Switch Bays, and the construction of the Control Building.

They reviewed the progress and discussed any additional needs. The 500 kV Kan Kaung Substation project is currently 97.7% completed, and the efforts are ongoing to finalize the remaining work and complete the project.
