







The Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi accompanied by the officials concerned inspected the work undertaking processes in Pearl Culture Camp of Myanmar Pearl Enterprise in Pearl Island of Boke Pyin Township in Taninthayi Region in the morning on 25th February and the Union Minister instructed to produce the pearls to be met and exceeded the target of the enterprise for the relevant fiscal year.
Next, the Union Minister inspected the conservation works of Lampi Marine National Park situated in Boke Pyin and KawtThoung Townships and the status of thriving three types of forests such as sandbank forest, tropical evergreen rain forest and mangrove forest and gave necessary instruction.
Consequently, the Union Minister visited Makyonegalat and Ko Phalk Villages, met with the Salon national races, urged to understand the value of the environment and forest and help preserve the sustainability, provided rice, cooking oil and stationeries to the Salon households and students, coordinated in responding to the reports of the local residents and cordially greeted them.
Later, the Union Minister visited Bearpearl Myanmar Company in Shwe Island in KawtThoung Township and inspected the oyster farming with breeding and implanting shell bead into the tissue of a pearl oyster and instructed necessary instruction in responding to the reports of the responsible officials.
In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited Adman Pearl Company in St. Luke Island, heard the clarifications of the responsible persons and gave necessary instruction. Then, the Union Minister viewed round the oyster culture in long-line culture method at sea water.
