Inspection in Nay Pyi Taw: Efforts for quality control of locally produced fuel

On 25th January, Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin accompanied by concerned officials oversaw the distribution of locally produced fuel within Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.

On arrival at Nay Pyi Taw Regulatory Officer’s Office, the Union Minister heard reports on fuel stations inspection, surprise check up on fuel tankers, fuel quality testing through mobile fuel lab, opening training courses for the fuel station staff and provision of welfare services for the staff.

Upon reports, the Union Minister elaborated to continue supervise the fuel distribution condition at fuel stations to ensure the quality control and accurate quantity measurement as well as to offer effective courses at basic fuel and fuel tanker handling trainings and fire safety trainings. He added that the ministry distributed locally produced petrol at state owned fuel stations in the first phase.

As the second phase, the locally produced petrol is available for RON68-fuelled public vehicles, ministries and development committee’s vehicles at reasonable price starting from 25th January to fulfill public demand.

The Union Minister also stressed the staff to fulfill their responsibilities professionally emphasizing the necessities of the public. Then, the Union Minister and officials inspected the distribution of locally produced petrol at the warehouse department and fuel stations and fulfilled requirements.
