









Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, accompanied by the responsible officials, on July 9, visited a model seed paddy plantation of U Sei Lu in Mezali Myine Village, Mai Hoi Village Tract, Mongnai Township, Namsang District.
During the visit, an official from the Township Agriculture Department explained the use of a Seeder and a hand-crank rice planter. The Chief Minister instructed the responsible personnel to demonstrate and implement test planting for farmers. He noted that these machines could help address labor shortages and, if the farmers were satisfied with their performance and wished to use them, arrangements should be made for them to obtain the equipment.
After that, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the status of seed paddy cultivation and coordinated with relevant departments to address the farmers' concerns and requests.
They continued by visiting a display organized by the Agriculture Department showcasing various seeds and oil crops such as groundnuts and sesame, with officials providing explanations.
Next, the Chief Minister and officials attended the 2025 monsoon season mass tree-planting ceremony in Namsang Township. At the ceremony, Chief Minister U Aung Aung delivered a speech and handed over saplings to the relevant officials.
Following that, the Chief Minister, the Commander, and other responsible persons planted trees at designated locations. They also toured the area to observe and encourage tree-planting efforts carried out by various departments, ward and village administrators, social organizations, and local residents.
After that, the Chief Minister and officials went to Wan Pon Village in Namsang Township, where they attended a field demonstration event organized by the Agriculture Department. During the event, seeds and fertilizers were distributed, and the use of seeder was demonstrated. The Chief Minister delivered a speech and presented seeds and fertilizers to the farmers.
Finally, the Chief Minister and officials visited a 3.80-acre farm owned by farmer U Sei Naw Mein, where they observed the use of a seeder for rice cultivation.
