Inspection of Model Plantations: Kayah State CM inspected model plantations

As the Kayah State Government is prioritizing efforts to promote the development of the state’s agricultural sector, the State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin, together with members of the State Government, inspected the model plantation of perennial crops and vegetables in Naung Yar (A) Ward, Loikaw Township on December 4.

First, the Chief Minister and responsible officials inspected the plantation areas where perennial crops and various types of vegetables are being cultivated and thriving. Officials from the State Agriculture Department provided explanations on the cultivation activities.

The Chief Minister instructed the responsible officials to carry out extensive farmer education programmes, to continue conducting research activities so that farmers can adopt modern farming techniques and to provide support to expand vegetable cultivation to the level where local consumption needs are fully met and surplus produce can be exported outside the state.
