






Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, along with members of the State Government and relevant departmental officials, conducted a field inspection of development works in Manaung Township on the afternoon of November 30.
First, the State Chief Minister and officials visited Dhamikarone Monastery in Manaung Township, paid homage to the township's Ovadacariya Sayadaws, received the Five Precepts from the presiding Sayadaw of Dhamikarone Monastery, and offered alms and donation items to the venerable Sayadaws.
Afterwards, the Chief Minister and officials visited a jetty in Manaung Township where, under the guidance of the National Natural Disaster Management Committee and with the organization and supervision of the Rakhine State Government and the Yangon Region Government, basic food commodities and consumer goods are being loaded and unloaded. They observed and inspected the operations and coordinated with responsible officials on necessary matters.
Following that, the State Chief Minister and officials went to the Township General Administration Department office, toured and inspected the office premises, and met with officials to discuss and coordinate necessary matters for the Township's development.
The Chief Minister and officials then visited the Chanmyay Thitsar Dhamma Home for Aged, toured the compound, and made cash donations for the home.
Subsequently, the State Chief Minister and officials inspected the planned road and bridge projects to be implemented with 2025-2026 state funds, as well as the ongoing preparations for maintenance works, along the road encircling Manaung Island.
During this inspection, the Head of the Roads Department, the Taungup District Head Officer, and responsible officials explained the project plans and completion status. The State Minister for Roads and Communications provided additional clarifications. Regarding the presentations, the State Chief Minister instructed them to work diligently and ensure timely completion according to the specified standards, it’s reported.
