Inspection of development works: Kachin State CM inspected regional development works

Kachin State Governmnet is making strenuous efforts to ensure regional edible oil sufficiency. On 17th December, Kachin State Chief Miniser U Khet Htein Nan attended the Agricultural Knowledge Sharing Session and Ploughing event at Kant Kaw Myaing Villge in Myitkyina Township.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister urged relevant individuals to accelerate oil crop plantations as multicropping and encouraged the farmers to make exerted efforts in edbile oil sufficiency as the government will provide necessary assistance and agricultural inputs.

Then, the officials made discussions on provision of requisite assistances to accelerate multicropping and the local farmers presented the necessities.

Upon reports, the Chief Minister stressed on sufficient agricultural water and coordinated requirements. It was followed by provision of sunflower and soybean seeds to the farmers.

Then, the Chief Minister and party oversaw the monsson paddy ploughing at Kant Kaw Myaing field and inspected drainge improving process along Pa La Na (2) creek.

On 16th December, the Chief Minister accompanied by concerned officials visited BalaMinHtin Model Plot in Myitkyina Industrial Zone Ward, inspected the arrangements to plant winter crops in timely manner and extended farmlands and instructed for sufficient agriculutral water supply.

Then, the Chief Minister proceeded to Ayawaddy View Point Resort project site at Sitapu Ward and inspected the concrete road paving, creation of scenic view points, bamboo bridge construction and other beautifying tasks.

In the evening, the Chief Minister and officials welcomed the athletes who particiapted in the 5th National Sports Festival in Nay Pyi Taw at Myitkyina Airport. There, the Chief Minister expressed words of appreciation and encouragement for the athletes and presented cash awards.
