






Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and Region Ministers inspected Nga-Moe-Yeik Dam, status of strengthening of spillways and balanced releasing of water in the morning on 6th August.
First, the Chief Minister and party at water control tower inspected the status of water storage in the dam, water drain pipe, maximum water level mark and spillways’ strengthening status, Director U Kyaw Naing Oo of Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department clarified regarding with annual precipitation in Nga-Moe-Yeik, Paung Laung and Mahuya Dams, water storage, strengthening of the Dams and the facts about the dams and the Chief Minister gave necessary instruction regarding with the clarifications.
After that, the Chief Minister and party inspected the status of water inflow into the Tha-Nat-Chaung Dam which can hold one billion gallon of water and completion of constructing spillway for the Taikkyi livestock breeding zone and local villages and instructed to erect notice boards prevented swimming, fishing and cutting trees.
The Chief Minister and party also inspected completion of constructing management office for Taikkyi livestock breeding zone and clarification hall, it’s reported.
