Inspection of damages : Shan State CM inspected damages in UCS (Taunggyi)

On 9th April, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung accompanied by concerned officials visited University of Computer Studies (Taunggyi) which was damaged by the severe earthquake.

There, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the damaged areas of 3-storey main building and heard reports on condition of the building and further renovation measures.

Upon reports, the Chief Minister made discussions with the engineers and experts for the renovation of the university. 

The severe earthquake on 28th March caused damages on pillars, stair rails, walls, classrooms, practical rooms and some offices of the university. There are 774 students attending the University of Computer Studies (Taunggyi) during 2024-2025 Academic Year.
