Inspection of construction works: MoC Union Minister inspected construction works

Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant accompanied by the departmental officials inspected the implemented upgrading works of Pathein-Nyungdone Road section and the remaining road sections to be upgraded on 19th March. The Union Minister and party inspected concrete laying on Nyaungdone-Pantanaw-Einme Road section and maintaining works of Einme-Myaungmya road section and the director of the department of highways clarified the road construction works and the union minister gave necessary instructions.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister met with the Special Work Units of the departments of building, Highways, Bridge, Urban and Housing Development, and the personnel from districts of Pathein, Hinthata, MyanAung, Ma-U Bin, Pyapon, Myaungmya, Laputta and KyonPyaw and gave work guidelines.

At the meeting, director of the department of highways and the directors of the departments and Special work units clarified ongoing construction works in Ayeyawady Region and the works to be carried out with Power Point in detail and the directors general from the departments of highways and department of bridge supplemented necessaries and the Union Minister instructed requirements for the works and requirements submitted by the personnel were fulfilled.

In the evening, the Union Minister and party inspected the status of strength of 2140 feet long old Pathein suspension bridge and instructed the responsible officials to carry out constant inspection of the bridges for long term sustainability.
