







Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win accompanied by the officials of the region government conducted a field inspection to Sri Ksetra Pyu Ancient City on Sunday with the guidance of the Chairman of the State Administration Council.
First, the Chief Minister inspected near Arahanta Lake where a modern public toilet and coffee shop will be constructed. He gave instruction to the officials that during construction, special emphasis need to be undertaken not to damage to the cultural heritages and to focus on adaptation measures to the environment.
Then, he visited the site where a modern public restroom will be built near the Bawbaw Gyi Stupa and instructed to construct in accordance with the specific designs set for the ancient cultural zones, enabling to be used by the disabled and elderly visitors.
Next, the Chief Minister visited the Museum of Sri Ksetra Pyu Ancient City and inspected the developing of official website. He instructed the officials to add the history of the relevant landmarks with recorded photos and to erect QR Codes in designated places with the collaboration of Museum Pool travel website of Thailand as well as to report further information to build souvenir shops near the museum.
After that, the Chief Minister oversaw the construction of four lane road expansion and box culvert from the intersection of Pyay-Pauk Khaung road to the Sri Ksetra Pyu Ancient City.
Next, the Chief Minister proceeded to the U Zaw Tun’s finished wood products factory and Thit Yeik Thar yogurt and dairy products factory in Nawaday Industrial Zone of Pyay Township and coordinated the needs related to the import reducing, boosting domestic production and obtaining market opportunity.
