Inspection of Agri-Livestock institute: Kachin State CM inspected Agi-Livestock institute

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and officials attended a demonstration of using natural green manure of Sunn Hemp held at the Agriculture and Livestock Institute in Pammatee ward of Myitkyina Township in the morning on 20th June.

First, the Kachin State Department of Agriculture Director U Htay Lwin clarified the benefits gained by using green manure, alternative fertilizer in such a time of agricultural inputs in High price and cost effectiveness and the Chief Minister and officials, students from Agriculture and Livestock Institute observed ploughing 17 acres of green manure (Sunn Hemp).

Next, the Chief Minister provided cash assistance for the instructors and demonstrators and trainees. Then, the Chief Minister attended the demonstration of artificial insemination in cattle, heard the clarification of Director Dr. Than Aye of the Department of Livestock Breeding and Veterinary about the artificial insemination, provided medicines for livestock breeding to the trainees and viewed the artificial insemination.

After that, the Chief Minister inspected water pumping with Solar Energy for 65 acres of plot in the compound of agriculture and livestock breeding institute and gave necessary instruction, it’s reported.
