Inn Thar Traditional Boat Race: SAC members watched and awarded prizes

As a gesture of hailing and honoring the 77th Anniversary of Shan State Day which will fall on 7th February, Inn Thar Traditional Boat Race was held at the middle of water in Inle Lake of Nyaungshwe Township and was watched by SAC members Dr. Ba Shwe, Khun San Lwin, Union Minister U Min Thein Zan, Dr. Soe Win, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, representative of the People’s Republic of China, Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar Dr. Zheng Zhihong, Deputy Ministers, invited guests and local ethnic brethren.

As the final events of In Thar Traditional Boat Race, men and women 26 oars competition, men and women 46 oars and men and women over 100 oars competition were held and watched by the SAC members, Union Ministers, guests and local ethnic people.

At the prize awarding ceremony, the boat race teams who received the consolation prize, second prize and first prize were awarded the prizes by the Deputy Ministers, Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, Shan State Chief Minister, Union Ministers and SAC members.After that, the SAC members, Union Ministers, Chief Minister, Deputy Ministers, State Ministers and officials paid homage to the Inle Phaungdaw-U Buddha Image and offered the gold robe and cash donations.
