Infrastructure Development: New library opened in Chauk Township

Hailing the 77th anniversary Independence Day, a new library was opened in Yay Twin Village in Chauk Township of Magwe Region on Friday.

Chief Minister U Tint Lwin attended the ceremony, and formally opened the newly constructed Duwun Library. He also urged the locals to cooperate for improvement of the facility, ensuring the long term durability. Well-wishers also made contributions of books and periodicals for the library.

This is the 16th library, opened in Magwe Region, and it was constructed at a cost of 16 million kyats with 15 million kyat cash assistance by the Myanmar Library Development Cooperation Committee and 1 million kyat by the contribution of the local residents.
