Information and Communication Technology: Visiting thePolytechnic University (Keng Tung)

Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw along with officials visited Polytechnic University (Keng Tung) in the Eastern Shan State on 22nd January. During the visit, the Union Minister met with the Rector, Pro-Rector, Principal, Head of Departments, teachers and students.

He also urged them to provide practical education for students' livelihoods and emphasis on the development of modern technology and research initiatives. Furthermore, he emphasized to create opportunities for conducting real world Project in collaboration with industries and also provide for gaining practical work experience in the field.

After that, the Union Minister and officials oversaw the classrooms, practical rooms, arrangement of workshop and teaching aids as well as construction of football field and exhibition of students’ practical projects. On 23rd January, the Union Minister and party visited the Faculty of Computing in the University and inspected the use of ICT technologies through the Learning Management System for teaching and learning activities.
