Industrial Sector: MoI opens industrial training courses to produce skilled workers

In order to improve the industrial sector, the ministry of industry has opened the industrial training courses to turn out the skilled workers and to serve the duty in appropriate work places.

The aim of opening industrial training courses is to meet the imbalances demand for local skilled workers.

3-month short courses on industrial and mobile vocational training were conducted 160 times in the respective regions and states and over 7,300 trainees were successfully produced through the courses.

Deputy Director General, Directorate of Industrial Collaboration, Phyo Myint Swe said "There are limitations of trainees for 1- or 2-years regular courses. The trainees should have the experiences of learning or taking matriculation exam and must have completed Grade 12. The age must be ranging from 17 to 25. They have to be healthy and have a passion for industry and be a citizen of Myanmar. They have to be single and they must be able to follow the rules. In the short courses, the students should have experience of learning or taking the exam of secondary education and have to complete KG +9, must be between 18 to 25 years of age. They have to be healthy and have a passion for industry and be citizen of Myanmar.

Mobile Vocational training course have been launched since 2014 in the rural areas for the poverty alleviation and promote the socio-economic development. 

Directorate of Industrial Collaboration, Deputy Director General, Phyo Myint Swe said "In the Mobile training course on vocational industry, the students should have experience of learning or taking the exam of primary education and they have to compete KG +5. They have to be healthy and have a passion for industry and be citizen of Myanmar."

In accord with the regions and states, the industrial and mobile vocational training courses were opened 131 times and 6,620 trainees were trained.
