Industrial Sector: Meetings on History and MSME

The Central Compilation Committee on the Myanmar Industrial History, Advisory Group and Work Committee held the 36th coordination meeting.

In the meeting at the Center for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development, Patron of the Central Compilation Committee Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than stressed that for industrial sector development, generations need situation and experiences in the past.

He called for efforts to fully share the invaluable experiences and understandings of the members of the Compilation Committee on the Myanmar Industrial History to help the future citizens of Myanmar. And, attendees discussed the current work process to write and publish the complete history of Myanmar's industry and plans.

The Union Minister coordinated the discussions. The Union Minister also met with the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) entrepreneurs and heavy industry entrepreneurs to explain the law, by-laws, orders, directives and the Ministry’s work process. He also expressed plans to provide the entrepreneurs with required inputs, access to financial capital, technology and development of human resources.

Also, the Union Minister urged the entrepreneurs to increase their manufacturing activities by using local raw materials. And, the entrepreneurs reported on difficulties, current situation and plans to further cooperate with the Ministry.
