Industrial Development : Visiting industrial facilities in Pyin Oo Lwin and Mandalay

Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than visited Pyin Oo Lwin Research Department on Saturday. The Union Minister reviewed the setup of laboratories for quality testing, plans to expand services for MSMEs, and measures to ensure safe, high-quality products reach the public.

He emphasized supporting local MSMEs, enhancing product quality, increasing production, and generating employment opportunities to reduce poverty. Later, at No. 2 Industrial Training School in Mandalay, he met with trainees and officials, highlighting the importance of practical skills training to prepare students for employment in industrial zones and to meet the growing demand for skilled workers.

He also inspected skill assessment units, guidance for ISO-accredited certifications, and measures to expand and improve training programs to produce more qualified industrial labor. The Union Minister encouraged all trainees and staff to strive for excellence, ensuring MSME products are high quality and industrial development continues efficiently.
